Honey Wheat

This recipe is the one Katie gave me that she now swears by. We had some for lunch and it is yummy!

HONEY WHEAT
3 3/8 C water
7 1/2 C white bread flour
1 1/2 C wheat flour
4 1/2 Tbs. dry milk
4 1/2 Tbs. honey
4 1/2 Tsp. salt
6 Tbs. butter

6 tsp fast rise yeast
-or-
9 tsp active dry yeast
Bake 350 for 40 minutes

The only altering I did here was up my wheat flour to 3 1/2 C wheat and 5 1/2 C white... Soooo good right out of the oven!

about how many loaves does this recipe make?

also for those of us who are a little less savvy about bread making, could you please post all the instructions too? do you just mix everything together and then let it rise? or is there a special order to adding ingredients?

Uh, hopefully Katie can help with answering this for certain... I followed the directions for the other recipe I posted, just used these ingredients... So yeah, pretty much just mix it all together in a mixer, then divide it (I made 3 large loaves and 2 mini loaves from this one today) and let it rise 'til doubled in size- close to 2 hours in my cold kitchen today.

Thank you Karin. I'm really excited for this recipe. I've decided to join the bread making gang lately, so I'm glad to have a proven recipe to use. It's hard to not love fresh bread out of the oven.
